Dr. Hill has completed a PhD at Capella University of Minneapolis, Minnesota with a specialization in Counseling Studies and I defended my dissertation and graduated in November 2017. The purpose of this study attempted to answer the research question: What are the experiences of parents using home-based interventions with children exhibiting oppositional behaviors? The generic qualitative study topic examined the parent-child relationship and ability to effectively carry out behavioral interventions when working with the oppositional child. Finally, the development the study has led to the need for future studies to assess the long-term effects of culture, alliances with mental health services, comorbidity issues, support for parents using social media platforms, and identified themes that impact on the parent-child relationships.
